2017-2018 Registration

We're ready to begin another season of Girls In-House basketball. As always, we are looking for parents or others to volunteer as coaches to help the girls develop their basketball skills.

There are separate leagues for 3rd grade and 4th grade, while 5th and 6th grade play together as does 7th and 8th grade.

When registering your child, we encourage you to put a friend's name down to be on the same team. When the girls' teams are formed, we make every effort to first put a girls on teams together that want to play with a friend. The second criteria is putting girls from the same school together, assuming that it helps the parents get kids to practice because we usually try to get a school close to the kids' school. Finally, we sometimes have to fill in rosters. It is unfair to everyone if one team has ten players while another only has six or seven.

Although every effort is made to accomodate the desires of every registrant, the director has the final say in rosters. We will not be making any promises as to how this process will go, but will be as fair as possible. The only thing promised is that if you coach your child is on your team.

All coaches will be background checked and concussion trained prior to the season starting. OAA is putting forth a great deal of effort to ensure that all of the kids from Oakdale and the surrounding communities have the best experience when playing for or against OAA Sports teams.

I look forward to the beginning of a new season and hopefully we can all have fun a learn more about the game of basketball. If you have any questions please email me and I will respond as quickly as possible. Usually with in a few days.
