Q: When does practice start?
A: Practice can start any time after Aug 1st (Shorts Only for the first week). Really up to the head Coach.
Q: When do the games start?
A: Normally the second to the last week in August? Kind of varies year by year and runs until MEA.
Q: Can I purchase football pants from OAA?
A: Yes, on equipment handout for $25.
Q: When is equipment handout?
A: Normally with-in the first two weeks of August. Schedule will be posted on the main Tackle Football website. Both equipment handout and returns will be at the shed at Walton.
Q: Were can I find the football practice / games schedule
A: Look for your team page (Left Menu Bar) Coaches should be posting your teams data there. The schedule normally comes out the middle to later part of August. You will get a email when the schedule is available.
Q: When can I sign my child up for tackle football?
A: Registration open's the first weekend in May.
Q: What equipment does OAA Provide.
A: OAA Provides the following: Helmet/Shoulder Pads. This equipment is signed out at the beginning of the season and returned at the end. You are also given a game Jersey that you get to keep.
Q: Can I sign up to coach?
A: Yes, during the registration you will be asked if you would like to volunteer to coach. If you are selected to coach you will be contacted by the Director.
Q: If I volunteer to coach, and I have never coached before are there tools to help me?
A: Yes, as being part if the Heads Up program you are given video and white paper on different practices that you can do. The Director will also walk you through the process to make it as easy as possible.
Q: When will the rosters be posted?
A: 3rd through 6th grade rosters are normally posted by Aug 1st., 7th and 8th are posted no later than the second week of Aug.
