Tackle Football (Grade 3-8)

OAA Football is a member of the Metro East Youth Football League (MEYFL).  We offer tackle football to Oakdale and the surrounding communities for boys and girls in grades 3-8.

"MEYFL has been a key player in the youth football playing of many communities for over 10 years. We teach sportsmanship, good football technique, and how to be part of team. Winning is not our primary goal-having players return to play next year is!"

At their website you can find updated rules of play, associations involved in the league, fields in which games will take place and standings for the season. Each year the rules are updated and will be posted prior to the season starting.

Tackle- Bar

*2024 UPDATE The league has voted to discontinue the use of tackle-bars at the third-grade level. We will no longer be offering this as an option. Third graders will now be included with the 4th-8th graders in full contact tackle. They will be learning the basics of football and proper tackling techniques without having to reach for a bar.  

Full Contact

Grades 3-8 involve full contact, requiring a full set of football pads, helmets and uniforms. Please note that mouth guards, black football pants and athletic cups/supporters are required and must be purchased separately.

**Football pants (new) will be available for purchase at equipment pick-up. **

The cost for new pants is $25.00 and we accept cash or check only.

 

All equipment (helmet/shoulder pads) must be returned to OAA at the end of the season.  If equipment is not returned, those accounts will be billed $150.00 per registration and must be paid in full before signing up for another sport.

Refund policy

Refunds :   Refunds will only be given if your child has not participated in any games and there are sufficient players on the team.   Only partial fees, if any, on individual case-by-case basis, will be given after games have begun.    Non-refundable late fee of $40.00 will apply after July 15th.

All refunds are subject to a $10.00 processing fee.   Refunds, as well as the amount of the refund, are left to the discretion of the league director. Partial refunds are also subject to the $10.00 processing fee.

Refunds will be completed based on the method of initial payment. Payments made using a credit/check/debit card will be refunded back to the card used for registration. Payments completed by cash or check will be refunded by mail in the form of a check payable to the individual completing the registration. Refunds may take up to 15 business days to process.
