ONE Head Coach is needed for this league immediately!!

OAA and its coaches are all volunteers and we can only have teams if there are coaches. Please consider volunteering to coach.

Please note girl's "Rookies" Softball has changed to "Fillies" Softball as of November 2015. This is avoid confusion between the 2nd grade boy's Rookies Baseball league and 1st/2nd grade Softball league.

Registration is now OPEN!!

Description

OAA Fillies Softball is a developmental program for 1st and 2nd graders. In this program, the coach will pitch underhand to your child. The players are introduced to more advance practice drills and fundamental softball strategy to include hitting, catching, throwing and fielding. In addition to the basics, OAA will stress the importance of good sportsmanship and teamwork. No "official" final scores are maintained by the league as there are no standings.

Games are intended to be fun for all players, no matter their talent level, and should build a foundation for all kids moving up to the OAA C-League with the ability to understand and perform the basics of softball.

League Age Requirements

This level of play is only for current 1st and 2nd grade girls, kindergarteners will not be allowed to play-up. This is for safety, social, and developmental reasons, there will be no exceptions. Current kindergarteners will need to be signed up under our co-ed T-Ball league. Also, please note, second graders will not be allowed to play up to the C League.
