2016 Registration

2016 Registration will open on February 1, 2016.

2015 Registration

2015 registration opened on February 1, 2015 and is now closed. The fee schedule is:

  • $140 - February 1st thru February 9th - Early Bird Discount!
  • $155 - February 10th thru March 22nd
  • $180 - After March 22nd and only if a roster spot is available. Closed...all roster spots are filled.

When registering, please specify the proper shirt size. The league makes an effort to order the specified size.

Seniors Baseball

Seniors is a baseball league for players in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade during the registration period and who are not playing on a traveling team or in another league (Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken, Little League, Junior League, VFW, etc.). Playing for a school team is fine.

The goal of the program is to provide a positive environment in which participants enjoy playing baseball and continue to improve skills. Teams compete in the MAA Baseball League with surrounding communities.

Games will start the week of May 19th and will end with a post season tournament on July 21 - 29. Teams typically practice once or twice per week and play two games per week. Practice time/locations will be set after coordinating with coaches.

Volunteers are essential to the program. Please consider volunteering to be a coach or team manager. If you intend to be a head coach, an assistant coach, or a team manager, please indicate this when you register your child.

Equipment

Note: Each player is responsible for having baseball pants. The rules state teams must have matching uniforms, therefore plain, grey pants are required.

The league provides:

  • cap, shirt, belt, socks for each player, and
  • one team baseball bat,
  • team catcher equipment.

Each player must provide:

  • Grey baseball pants,
  • Glove,
  • Double earflap helmet for batting and base running,
  • Athletic footwear (metal cleats allowed).

Players may use own baseball bat if the weight to length differential is -3 or heavier (i.e. a 33 inch bat must weigh 30 ounces or more) and is a qualified BBCOR bat (see image);

Refund Policy

Typically, refunds will only be given if your child has not participated in any games and there are sufficient players on the team. Refunds are subject to a $10.00 processing fee and other costs already incurred. For example, the cost of a uniform when it has already been ordered. Refunds, as well as the amount of the refund, are left to the discretion of the league director on a case by case basis.

Refunds will be completed by mail in the form of a check payable to the individual completing the registration. Refunds may take up to 15 business days to process. 

Rescheduling Games

Following are the necessary actions by the home team OAA coach when rescheduling a game. Note, you may end up iterating through steps 1a and 1b, but shouldn’t move on to step 2 until a date and field are confirmed.

1a) Confirm date/time with opponent.

1b) Email field request to director.

2) Email umpire request to umpire in chief (UIC).

3) Email field prep request to director.
